Biography
(or what the artist has been called)
"Artist, Board Member, Migrant-worker, Art Student, President, Employment-pass-holder, Boss, Candidate, Chairman, Foreigner, CEO, Caucasian, Director, Client, Turkish, Patient, Mama, Residence-permit-holder, Daughter-in-Law, Immigrant, Executive, Spouse, Lawful Permanent Resident, Expatriate, Granddaughter, White, Leader, Resident Alien, Economist, Fiancé, Intern, European, Manager, Black Belt, Girlfriend, Trainee, Employee, Dutch, Graduate, Daughter"

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Fine Art at Falmouth University in the UK and holds a Master’s degree in Macroeconomics. Myra’s artwork is part of private collections in the US, Singapore, Turkey, and the Netherlands, and her work has been exhibited in the US and Europe.

Myra’s practice centres on material transformation, raising questions about sustainability, consumerism, the meaning of man-made objects, and our impact on nature. She explores the tragedy that the meaning and importance we assign to objects—though deeply human—can ultimately contribute to environmental harm, as their production drives pollution and habitat loss, affecting both non-human species and humans alike.
Her work also draws from the culture of the business world, addressing issues of diversity and power.
